Frequently asked questions about CAW GYM and your membership

What are your opening times?

We open from 6am-9pm Monday–Friday, 9am-5pm Saturday and 10am-4pm Sunday.

We are the largest gymnasium in Clowne and the surrounding area, but to be more specific click here for our map

How old do I need to be to join CAW GYM?
We do accept members from the age of 16, however under 18's must be accompanied by a parent/guardian on the first visit and give written consent in
order to use the facilities, all contractual payments must be from a consenting parent/guardian bank account.


Can I freeze my gym membership?
Yes, in the event of medical issues, long term injuries or pregnancy. Medical proof will be required. 


Can I change my direct debit date?
Direct debits can be chosen to leave your account on the following dates each month 1st, 8th, 15th, 25th. 


Can I pay upfront for 1 year?
Of course.  We offer further special offers for members wishing to pay for 3, 6 or 12 months in advance.


Can I get a student discount?
Yes, we offer 10% discount for students.  (Must have valid NUS or alternative student ID as proof)


Can I change my bank details?
Yes, just contact one of the team to amend your existing details.

Do you offer classes?

We offer a variety of different classes, please see class timetable for further information. 

Are there changing facilities and lockers at CAW GYM? 

We offer Ladies and gents changing facilities, both with showers and lockers (40mm padlock is required for use of lockers).


Can someone show me how to use the equipment?
A complimentary induction is offered to all new members at CAW gym and our friendly and helpful staff are always on hand to offer any help or advice.


I have used a gym before.  Do I need to have an induction?
It is our policy to induct all new members to ensure optimum health and safety in our premises, however, if you are an experienced gym user and feel that this is process is not necessary, you may sign to waive the right to an induction.
 
Is personal training available?

Can someone create me a personal fitness programme?

Do I have to be a member to have a personal training session?

No not at all.  

How heavy are your free weights?
We have the widest range of free weights in the area.  Our dumbbells max out at 65kg for the serious weight training enthusiast.


Is there somewhere to get a drink or protein shake after my workout?
Yes, we have a gym store and relaxation area where you can purchase all manner of supplements, drinks and snacks.
 
Do you have a Ladies-only area?

We have a separate Ladies gym that contains 6 stations of air resistance machinery, treadmill, free weight selection iFit vibration plates and matted floor area.
